Who can become a GTO member? |

Everybody interested in tropical and subtropical birds and agreeing with the GTO philosophy.
The fundamental ideas of GTO are presented in: „Who are we?“
The spectrum of GTO themes includes all fields of tropical and subtropical ornithology, e.g. avifaunistics, biogeography, conservation, behavior, systematics and phylogeny, as well as breeding and care, veterinary medicine, and avian biology in zoological gardens.
Therefore, it is essential to meet the various fields of interest of the GTO members with respect and tolerance, for mutual benefit. |

What about the annual membership fees? |
|
Euro 30,- for regular members (individuals and institutions) Euro 20,- for family members of GTO members as well as for students
GTO members pay less conference participation fees than non-members. New GTO members will be welcomed by free conference participation (no fees) if they became a member of GTO in 2007 and already paid their annual fees.
Of course, you can support GTO and its research fund by solitary or annually donations (these benefits are a positive fact in tax declarations, depending on the laws of your home country). |
